We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Markets Sec Services IT

Principal responsibilities:

The Distribution Platforms team is a key part of the wider MSS Digital department and is responsible for visual channels and their supporting technology. Based in Toronto, London, Pune & China the team maintains and extends a suite of HTML5 and Java-based eCommerce applications used both internally by Sales and externally by the banks Customers. The successful candidate will join the team as a Data Specialist focused on managing sales and customer data, extracting valuable insights from that data and delivering that insight to Sales and Customers via our eCommerce applications.

Requirements

We are looking for people from many backgrounds and experiences who are passionate about technology. Our main focus is on web technologies with Java backends and databases, so experience in any HTML5 and JavaScript frameworks OR experience in Java programming, or both is good. Expertise in any of the following areas is valued:

• HTTP and related technologies, such as REST principles
• Experience writing global systems, dealing with concurrency etc
• Software security principles
• Automated testing
• Foundational HTML5, e.g. ES6 and CSS
• Experience with relational databases
