Responsibilities (how we will measure success):
As an intern in both portfolio management and risk management departments, you demonstrate commitment and engagement to learn the Luxembourg alternative investments’ landscape, alternative investment strategies and the risk management framework.
You are able to produce the key deliverables of the functions under supervision.
Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis):
Support to the Portfolio Management team in the below tasks (not exhaustive):
Participate to the review and completion of our Funds’ Investment portfolios
Contribute to the drafting of Investment memos based on information shared by our Funds’ investment advisors
Monitor the performance of our portfolio investments
Support the team in the due diligence of our Fund’s Investment Advisors and Investment Managers
Support to the Risk Management team in the below tasks (not exhaustive):
Participate to the review of investment transactions from a risk management perspective.
Update Fund risk profiles covering all types of risks the managed Funds are exposed to, as well as the investment compliance limits.
Monitor the Funds’ risk exposures are in line with the Fund risk profile and investment restrictions (including leverage), and escalate any deviations identified.
Participate to the production of risk reports and other deliverables at the attention of the governing bodies of the Funds under management and the AIFM senior management.
Be enrolled in a Master in Finance / Law or an equivalent degree
Internship agreement is mandatory
Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, …)
Knowledge of the Luxembourg regulatory environment for investment funds will be a plus
Strong English communication skills; additional language would be considered as an asset
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt
Self-motivated team player
Good communication skills and capacity to interface professionally with various internal stakeholders
Interested in learning the role of an AIFM
