Senior Procurement Expert – Finance (Openbank)

Mission and responsibilities:
As part of the procurement function, you will work within the finance department, working closely with the Head of Procurement, negotiating main contracts and helping top management to make strategic decisions by providing operative and financial insights.
The main tasks of this position will be the following:
- Analyse the third party expenditure data base giving support to the building of the annual procurement plan, identifying cost efficiencies and strategies for key negotiations.
- Understand and challenge the business cases of the expense requests, supporting the service managers and/or leading the agreement negotiations with main suppliers, bringing savings/value to the organization and making performance reports.
- Work closely with the management team and other functions, especially with T&O, in order to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Monitor the procurement budget, aligning actions plans with the cost control function to ensure no deviations.
- Support, participate, and potentially lead presentations to Top Management in different Committees.
- Responsible for redefining and developing the Vendor Module of the Corporate Tool, achieving efficiencies with automatizations and ensuring compliance with corporate third party procedures.
- Responsible for transposition, implementation and control of the Group Policies, and report the Third Party KPIs to the Global Area of the Group. Set internal procedures ensuring compliance with Group policies and banking regulations.
To be successful in the role you must have
- Demonstrable background in procurement, especially in T&O categories, with strong negotiations skills and cross functional & diverse stakeholder relationship management.
- Focused on cost optimization, spend management and strategic sourcing, with well rounded experience in project management.
- Knowledge of IT remuneration schemes, typical Software/IT SLA´s, commercial and contractual terms.
- Proactive professional capable to work autonomously, with analytical skills and ability to thrive in results-driven environments.
- Knowledge of accounts payable and procurement to pay systems.
- Experience in working within global and multicultural organizations.
- Procurement certification will be an advantage.
- Fluent in English.
- Microsoft Office advance.
